February 19-26 ~ The Four Star Debate; Amman, Jordan. Strata President, Dr. Nathan Mellor and Senior Consultant Beau Bailey will be traveling to Amman Jordan to meet with representatives from the King's Academy to discuss plans for the Four Star Debate 2010. The Four Star Debate program is a program led by the Academy of Leadership & Liberty, the National Center for Policy Analysis and the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum. Dr. Nathan Mellor, Dr. Brian Bush and Mr. Frank Smith (President, The Ark Group, Inc) will be traveling to Washington DC to join leaders from across America and around the world in dialogue about leadership development and education opportunities in Africa and the Middle East. In addition, they will be joining with nearly 3,000 leaders in prayer for the United States and the world with President Barack Obama. Strata Leadership, LLC is pleased to announce a partnership with the Character First organization. Character First began in 1991 in Oklahoma City and now provides Leadership Training, Character Recognition, Teaching Resources and Community Building for schools, businesses and other organizations throughout the world. The Character First curriculum is published in 11 languages and is currently being used in 28 countries.

Strata Leadership, LLC is pleased to announce a partnership with the Salt & Light Leadership Fellowship - a project of the Burbridge Foundation. Dr. Nathan Mellor stated "We are thankful for the opportunity to provide administrative support for what we believe will be a life-changing program for Oklahoma City leaders." The Salt & Light Leadership Fellowship is led by an Executive Committee comprised of eight notable Christian community leaders including:
- Jane Jayroe Gamble - former Miss America (1967) and television personality (Oklahoma City and Dallas) She has served in leadership positions for four Oklahoma governors including service as the Cabinet Secretary of Tourism for the State of Oklahoma and the Director of the Oklahoma Department of Tourism and Recreation.
- David Green - CEO and Founder of Hobby Lobby Stores. When Hobby Lobby began in Oklahoma City in 1972, the store had 300 square feet of retail space. Today, 418 Hobby Lobby Stores are located in 33 states.
- Tom Hill - Chairman, Kimray, Inc and the Founder and President of Character First and the Character Training Institute, Inc.
- Kent Humphreys - Business Leader, Speaker and Author. Kent has a business background in several different fields including product distribution, real estate, venture capital and consulting. In 2002, Kent founded American Health Diagnostics, a medical distribution and marketing company that has received awards such as Distributor of the Year for Cardinal Health (2004). Kent’s other companies include Ambassador Investments (1987-present), multi-family housing investments; Triad Investments (1992-present), commercial real estate investments; Creative Capital (2001-present), venture capital and consulting.
- Kirk Humphreys - Chairman, The Humphreys Company. Former Mayor of Oklahoma City.
- Wes Lane - President, Burbridge Foundation. Former District Attorney - Oklahoma County.

Dr. Nathan Mellor and Beau Bailey presented a one-day program for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services - Finance Division. The program was held in the Harvey Business Center on the Oklahoma Christian University Campus in Oklahoma City. Wayne Whitesell, Managing Director of Strata Leadership, LLC, noted that this was Beau Bailey's first consulting project for Strata and that he was "a natural with a great future in leadership development."

Senior Strata Consultant, Andrew Baker, spoke to an interested audience of school leaders at the National Christian School Association (NCSA) Conference on Thursday. Baker spoke on the topic "Encouraging Students to make an Eternal Difference."
Baker summarized his session by stating "Today's students have amazing talents and abilities. What they are waiting for are people to champion those abilities and allow them to make an eternal difference. This session will look at specific ways schools can encourage students through experiential educational experiences to do great things. It will also look at positive and negative culture influences on students and ways schools can respond."

Strata Leadership, LLC President Dr. Nathan Mellor and Managing Director Wayne Whitesell presented "Focused and Faithful - Creating a Culture of Hope in a Climate of Chaos" on Thursday at the National Christian School Association (NCSA) Conference in Richmond, VIrginia. The annual conference brought together key administrators from schools throughout America. Mellor remarked that the program was exceptional and stated "Dr. Philip Patterson (the NCSA President) put together a conference that was uplifting, timely and substantive. If you were seeking to be inspired by educators who are eager to learn more about how to better serve and challenge their students, the NCSA conference "
According to the NCSA website (http://nationalchristian.org) "The National Christian School Association is an educational association of more than 120 secondary schools in 30 states serving more than 40,000 students. Most NCSA schools are independent, governed by a self-perpetuating board."
